Objective To develop efficient algorithms that process and optimise complex database queries Results We have met the project’s objectives through the development of efficient algorithms including: 1) a novel interleaved query execution framework that enables shared table scans; 2) a novel self-join algorithm that scans the table once; 3) sort-aware query processing schemes that optimise ordering and processing of multiple sort orders over a table; and 4) new methods for processing multiple analytic functions over a table. |
