A hardware controller developed to augment traditional interaction with computational devices by means of its ability to alter its rigidity to simulate a variety of devices including, but not limited to, swords, whips and musical instruments.
The device consists of vertical and horizontal hinges, 3-axis accelerometer, a servo-motor, bend sensors and switches.
Multiple applications in video gaming are easily envisioned. Applications beyond video gaming to areas where various degrees of flexibility and/or rigidity are need can also be envisioned.
