IDA Technology Roadmap 2012 This technology falls in the following categories of Singapore's IDA Infocomm Technology Roadmap 2012:
Technology Overview This invention provides an effective solution to brand monitoring (i.e. online discovery of events and topics about organisations) in social media. Given an organisation, a unified framework is proposed to identify relevant content (keywords, users, topics and events) about the organisations. This framework effectively deals with the polysemy problem in social media for organisations in which the acronyms and key-terms related to an organisation are often shared by many entities. For example, the acronym NUS is shared by the National University of Singapore, the National Union of Students and Nu-Skin Company. In addition, the proposed framework utilises multiple aspects of an organisation to crawl more relevant data about them. For more information on this technology contact: |
